Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We have already said our formal good-byes a few weeks back when we did not know when your new Administrator would be coming. But this is my final opportunity to write a bulletin column for St. Bart’s as I move on to my new mission in Peabody and Salem later this week.
I just want to say a brief “thank you” to all of you for the way in which you (individually and collectively) have welcomed me into your lives and the life of this parish over the course of the past four years. In 2017 I could never have foreseen that we would end up going through a pandemic together. Your faith and your resolve during this time have been a true gift to me and I will surely bring that with me to my next assignment. Let us continue to keep one another in prayer.
I entrust to your prayers, also, Fr. Tom as he comes to guide St. Bart’s as you continue to grow in your relationship with, and mission from, Jesus Christ. I know he will be a capable leader with the same help and support you have all shown me over the past few years. St. Bart’s truly is, and will continue to be, a special place.
God bless you all.
