Music Ministry

He Who Sings Prays Twice

While congregational and group singing throughout the archdiocese are prohibited due to virus concerns, our choirs continue to gather and work on music projects virtually.  Contact Antonia Nedder here for details about how you can continue to participate in the music ministry during these challenging times.

Music Director, Antonia Nedder

There are many ways to get involved in our music ministry at St. Bartholomew! Our Choirs are a vibrant part of our Sunday liturgies and also participate at parish events such as the St. Bart’s Pancake Breakfast with Santa and the St. Bartholomew Advent Concert. In addition, our Choirs have participated in Needham Interfaith Services, the Needham Blue Tree Lighting, and Christmas caroling for the local community. Our Choir programs run from September through June, and our cantor/instrumentalist opportunities continue year round. For more information, contact Antonia Nedder at 781-444-3434 or send her a message

Cantor Roster

We use cantors at all non-choir Masses, year round, to lead the congregation in song. We are always looking for new singers to add to our cantor roster. Contact Antonia Nedder for more information at 781-444-3434, or send her a message here.

Instrumentalists

We love to add instruments to our music ministry! Our Adult Choir often features trumpet and guitar, and our Youth Choir has featured youth instrumentalists playing bongo drums, clarinet, guitar, and other instruments. Our cantored Masses have also featured clarinet, trumpet,  guitar, or bongo drums. If you would like to play an instrument for us, please contact Antonia Nedder at 781-444-3434 or send her a message here.
