Finance Council

The purpose of the parish Finance Council is to advise the Pastor in his role as the financial steward of the parish.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in preparation of the parish budget
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of the Annual Financial Report to the parishioners
  • Assist in prioritizing the maintenance of our buildings and grounds
  • Assist in prioritizing capital repairs, purchases, improvements
  • Assist in prioritizing allocation of parish resources in accordance with the parish Mission Statement and Articles of Canon Law, which pertain to the temporal goods of the parish
  • Address any other financial matter the Pastor wishes to discuss with them

Council members:

  • Be active, registered, and contributing members of the parish
  • Have expertise in one or more of the areas of responsibility
  • Conscientiously review Quarterly and Annual financial reports
  • Be acquainted with the Articles of Canon Law which pertain to the temporal goods of the parish
  • Be willing to serve a minimum of 3 years on the Council
  • Attend regular monthly meetings of the Finance Council from September to June and attend any other meetings called by the Pastor
