Parish Nurse Ministry
Parish Nurses are committed to the wellness and healing of all persons in our community at all stages of life. The ministry seeks to nurture the relationship of spiritual well-being with physical health and to strengthen capabilities of individuals, families and communities to understand and care for one another. The Parish Nurse Ministry, in collaboration with existing parish ministries, hope to develop programs that address the health needs of our parishioners. Parish Nurses maintain a strict code of confidentiality in keeping with the Professional Code of Nursing Ethics. Parish Nurses do not administer medications, perform invasive procedures or duplicate existing home health services.
Eucharistic Ministers
Peace and Justice
Our parish sponsors guest speakers and participates in community efforts to raise the awareness of the issues of peace and justice and encourage the programs of The Archdiocese by participation and contribution.
Adult Education
Various opportunities for Adult Education are offered during the year. The parish offers guest speakers, short courses and/or special activities during Advent and Lent. Information regarding Adult Education programs can be found in the bulletin.
Book Club
The Book Club meets the fourth Tuesday of the month in the school. The Book of the Month is published in the bulletin. All are welcome.
Choir
The Senior Choir which sings at the 9:45 am Mass on Sunday, Holy Days and other Parish liturgies and provides cantors for the week-end Masses. New members are always welcome. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm.
The Youth Choir sings at the 9:45am Mass on the first Sunday of the month.
Eucharistic Adoration
The St. Bartholomew/St. Joseph Cluster invite you to join them on Fridays, September-June, 9:30am-7:30pm, St. Joseph’s lower church for Adoration.
Prayer Group
Growing in Faith Together (G.I.F.T) is a Prayer Group which meets Wednesdays at 10:00am in the O'Brien Room. The format is simple; a brief opportunity to socialize is followed by Morning Prayer, scripture reading and reflection. All are welcome to join.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee meets monthly and acts in an advisory capacity to assist Father McGaugh in all financial matters relative to the administration of the parish.
Liturgy
Many different groups are involved in our liturgical celebrations. Altar Servers, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and Ushers are important contributors to our liturgies. To volunteer to serve in any Eucharistic Ministry please call the rectory. During the school year the Parish also has a weekly Liturgy of the Word for Children at the 9:45am Mass. Marian Shrine and Garden
The Marian Shrine and garden provides a quiet, sheltered refuge for rest and prayer.
Parish Pastoral Council
The PPC consists of the pastor, representatives from the parish who are elected by the parishioners to 3-year terms, 2 youth members and 4 ex-officio members. The purpose of the council is to advise the pastor regarding the pastoral mission of the parish. The Council meets monthly September - May. Elections are held each year in October and there is a 2 consecutive term limit. The PPC keeps the parish informed of its activities through the bulletin.

Parish Activities, Programs & Committees
St. Bartholomew offers many opportunities to gather with each other socially and spiritually. Each September we celebrate our faith community with PARISH FAMILY CELEBRATION. There are many special liturgies offered throughout the year, each one a reminder of an aspect of the wonderful faith that we share. Our families look forward to the PANCAKE BREAKFAST WITH SANTA each December, THE ST. PATRICK’S DAY FAMILY CELEBRATION in March and the FAMILY SKATING PARTY at St. Sebastian's rink. The YANKEE SWAP is a Christmas tradition and provides an evening of laughter and good cheer. Other social opportunities are provided by the following organizations and committees.
Community Sunday
On the first Sunday of the month, October June, all are invited to the cafeteria after the 8:00 and 9:45 am Masses for coffee, juice, bagels and donuts and the opportunity to socialize with other parishioners and staff.
Senior Social Club
The Senior Social Club provides guest speakers, trips and social activities for our Senior Citizens. The Social Club meets once month in the cafeteria of the school.
