Sports – Soccer & Basketball
Sports are an opportunity to learn valuable faith & life lessons as we build our community.
CYO Basketball
St. Bart’s CYO basketball program is a social-competitive league with travel to local towns playing against other local parishes. There are separate teams for boys & for girls 5th -12th grade. Each team has weekend games and weekday evening practices. We promote fair playing time, good sportsmanship & fun! Registrations are accepted on a first come first served basis to allow all children the opportunity to play. We need new coaches at all levels.
Registration is now opened for the 2011 – 2012 season
Registrations are processed first come-first served, please download the registration form and mail to St. Bart’s Parish

St. Bart’s Soccer Program
Thanks for the memories!
After prayerful consideration, St. Bartholomew’s has come to the decision that going forward, the participants of our soccer program will be better served under the direction of the Needham Soccer Club.
For over 40 years, volunteer administrators, coaches and team managers have helped literally tens of thousands of Needham children learn the fundamentals of soccer along with the character building lessons of good sportsmanship. From a young Holy Ghost Father, Fr. John Meade offering to share his passion with a few on a vacant plot of land beside the church, the program grew to children playing throughout the week and every weekend of the Fall and Spring Seasons.
As the years have passed, much has changed both in soccer and in the parish of St. Bartholomew. As St. Bartholomew’s plans for future program offerings and facilities development, we are excited to follow the Holy Spirit as we are being called in new directions. We are grateful for the time and efforts that so many shared as a gift to the Needham community over the years, may God bless you abundantly in all good things going forward!
Information regarding the new 1st and 2nd grade program through Needham Soccer Club can be found on their website, www.needhamsoccer.com
Thank you to all our Coaches, Participants & Volunteers!
