From Your Pastor
Reflection for 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time: Each of us is called by God to a specific talk in life through the grace of God. Jesus invites all of us in our particular walks in life to bring His word to His people. There are a wide variety of ways that God calls us. The readings today are calling us to expand our understand- ing of the ways that God may be calling us to work for His kingdom. Sinfulness is no excuse for not answering God’s call. If we show God a willingness to serve Him, He will create an opportunity. Openness in prayer is essential as God speaks to us in many ways. God speaks to us in ways that we may not at first appreciate; but we must be willing to take risks for God. Such risks might include extending love and forgiveness or offering hope.
